Choosing tape in hair extensions

Tape in hair extensions are a salon application, so they're best fitted and removed by a trained stylist. When choosing tape extensions:

• Match the shade to the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, as that's where the extensions need to blend.
• For highlighted or balayage hair, a bronde, sombre or ombre shade, or a mix of two shades, often looks more natural than a single block colour.
• The number of packs depends on the client's hair density and the look you're after, so plan this at the consultation.

Hair extension tape, removers and aftercare

Tape extensions can usually be removed, re-taped and re-applied, so keep the right supplies on hand:
