Do not use over hair that has been previously coloured with henna. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. Do not use on eyebrows or eyelashes. Wear gloves when mixing, applying or rinsing product. Always use mixtures immediately (do not store). USAGE: Refer to Development Times, Developer Selection Guide and Application Techniques inside this box and on the Matthew James International colour chart for full instructions. When colour development is complete, remove thoroughly by gently emulsifying with warm water and rinsing until all product is removed from hairline, scalp and hair. Finish with post colour shampoo and conditioner to neutralise any remaining colour residues. Towel dry well and apply mixture evenly from roots to ends. Demi permanent colouring regrowth: Shampoo hair twice with deep cleansing shampoo. Towel dry well and apply mixture to root area. 10 minutes prior to end of development time apply mixture evenly through to ends for final 10 minutes. Toning: Apply as required to damp hair. Permanent colouring virgin hair: Apply mixture to dry hair. Initially leave the first 2cm of hair at root area untouched, apply to mid-lengths and ends, ensuring adequate coverage. Then, working quickly, apply mixture to untouched root area ensuring adequate, even coverage. Permanent colouring regrowth: On dry hair, apply mixture to regrowth area only. Where appropriate, begin application in area with highest % of grey hair. Work quickly, taking clean sections, ensuring adequate coverage. If faded mid-lengths/ends are apparent, refresh following demi-permanent/toning methods as required. DIRECTIONS - BEFORE USE: This product contains ingredients that may cause skin irritation to certain individuals. This does not indicate a fault with the product. A preliminary test according to the accompanying directions should be made before use. CAUTION: Hair colourants can cause severe allergic reactions. Read and follow instructions provided. This product is not intended for use on persons under the age of 16. Temporary “black henna” tattoos may increase your risk of allergy. Do not colour your hair if: you have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp; you have ever experienced any reaction after colouring your hair; you have experienced a reaction to a temporary “black henna” tattoo in the past. PRELIMINARY TEST: A preliminary test should be carried out as follows. Cleanse a small area of skin behind the ear or on the inner surface of the forearm using either soap and water or alcohol. Mix a small amount of product according to the directions for use ratios. Apply mixture to the cleansed area approximately 1 cm x 1 cm adding sufficient product to coat the skin; avoid clothing. Leave untouched for 48 hours then rinse off with water. If a reaction such as a burning sensation, reddening or itching occurs during the test or next 48 hours DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT. The preliminary test is a moderate preventative measure only. An allergic or adverse reaction such as stinging, burning or a rash may still occur during application to the hair or processing. If an allergic or adverse reaction occurs, rinse immediately with water and discontinue use. Seek medical advice or consult a dermatologist. SAFETY DIRECTIONS - KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. FIRST AID: For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (e.g. phone Australia 13 11 26; New Zealand 0800 764 766) or a doctor (at once). If in eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water and do not stop until advised to do so by a Poisons Information Centre, or a doctor, or for at least 15 minutes. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water.
