Check roller is secure on cartridge before placing in heater. Insert the 100ml roller strip wax cartridge into the cartridge holder. Place the hand held cartridge holder into the heater base to heat wax. Plug into the mains power and turn the temperature up to the highest temperature setting, which is 115°C. Hold the power button for 5 seconds to switch between °C and °F. Allow cartridge to heat completely, takes about 15 minutes, which depends on the wax formula, how much wax is in the cartridge and the ambient temperature of the cartridge. To avoid the risk of burns, it is important the therapist tests the heated wax for a comfortable application temperature on themselves, before applying on client’s skin. If wax feels too hot, reduce the temperature to between 105°C and 110°C. It is advisable to first roll the wax onto a waxing strip, which primes the roller for easier rolling. Then apply wax on client’s skin. Hold the cartridge holder firmly, then roll the wax in the direction of the hair growth, with the cartridge holder at a 45 degree angle to the body. When cartridge holder is not in use, place it back in the heater base to continue heating. LYCON Wax Solvent is ideal to clean the cartridge heating base and the cartridge holder as necessary.
