Section your hair: Divide your hair into manageable sections using clips or hair ties. This will make it easier to work with and ensure even application.
Load the balayage board using the teeth to hold sections you want coloured firmly in place for ultimate precision
Apply the color: Hold the balayage board underneath a small subsection of hair. Use your tint brush to apply the color onto the surface of the hair, starting from mid-lengths to ends. Feather the color upwards for a natural gradient effect.
Blend and feather: Use the balayage board to blend and feather the color upwards towards the roots. This will create a seamless transition between the colored and natural hair.
Repeat: Continue working in small sections, applying color with the balayage board until you achieve your desired look. Vary the placement and saturation of the color for a natural, multi-dimensional result.
Check your work: Once all sections are colored, double-check for any spots that may need touch-ups or additional blending.
