1. Preparation • Clean and Dry Hair: Start with clean, dry hair and brush it straight back. • Fit the Cap: Place the Colortrak X Marks the Spot Tipping Cap snugly over the head • Adjust Protective Features: o Pull out the visor in the front to shield the face from drips and stains. o Position the Protector Capette (extended rear flap and collar guard) down over the nape of the neck and long hair to block excess color and chemicals 2. Pulling Hair Strands (Pattern Selection) • Pierce the Cap: Use the included metal highlighting needle to puncture through the marked "X" or circular spots on the cap. • Choose Your Frosting Pattern: o Light Frost: Pull hair through every other "X" or hole. o Medium Frost: Pull hair through every "X" or hole. o Heavy Frost: Pull hair through every "X" and every hole. • Hook the Hair: Insert the needle close to the scalp to hook small, uniform strands and pull them completely through the lined barrier. Keeping the pull close to the root prevents the highlights from looking grown-out. 3. Applying Color or Lightener • Apply Product: Brush your hair lightener or color mix evenly over the exposed strands sitting on top of the cap. • Benefit of the Lining: The cap's interior lining acts as a barrier to minimize color bleeding (seeping through to untreated hair underneath). • Process: Let the color or lightener process according to the manufacturer's timing instructions. 4.
