1. Prep and Section • Divide the hair into clean, manageable sections using clips or a tail comb to keep your application organized. • Mix your hair color, lightener, or bleach according to the manufacturer's instructions. 2. Apply with the Firm Brush • Dip the firm bristle brush into your color bowl. • Use it to pack color tightly at the roots, cover gray regrowth, or paint sharp, defined sections and bold strokes. • The firmer bristles give you maximum control over product placement. 3. Blend with the Feather Brush • Switch to the feather bristle brush for mid-lengths and ends. • Use light, sweeping strokes to feather and diffuse the color upward or outward. • This technique softens the transition lines, making it ideal for balayage, melting, or subtle highlights.
